Nest Hello (wired) mechanical chime not working

Hello, just installed my Nest Hello (wired) yesterday.  The picture of the terminals from my chime prior to installation is below, Front, Trans, Back configuration (front is the lower terminal), but with two cables per front and back terminal. There is a combination chime/transformer downstairs, which I imagine the white cables from the back terminal lead to.

What I did was take the blue cable (has a white color until entering hole in the wall) off the front terminal for the white nest chime connector cable and the red cable from the trans terminal for the grey nest chime connector cable. I left the other white cable on the front terminal and did not change anything in the back terminal.

There is a blue cable and a red cable at the front doorbell which I connected to the Nest Hello.   The Nest has power, video, works perfectly on its own with but doesn't trigger the mechanical chime. I tried switching the blue cable into the nest chime connector for the white cable that leads out the top of the chime, but that did nothing, Nest still had normal power from the trans, no mechanical chime.

I tried suggestions of this board of making sure electric chime is on in the nest app and increasing the chime length to 1 seconds, but no dice.

Any other thoughts on how to get the mechanical chime to work? Could it have anything to do with that red cable coming from the wall to the rear terminal? The only other unaccounted cable is a blue one from the wall that is not connected to any terminal.  I thought about trying both cables from the front terminal into the nest white chime connector but they are too thick to fit in the hole together.  Thanks for any light you all can shed on the situation!

UPDATE: FIXED. Turns out there was a downstairs chime with just the two white leads that you can see exiting the top of the upstairs chime.  These wires were connected to trans and front terminals on the downstairs chime, so by moving the nest chime connector to the downstairs chime box, everything now works as it should.

Hi

Hi EmptyNester, did not fix the problem - already had the nest chime connector (round adapter with grey and white cables that hooks to the terminals and provides insertion for the doorbell wires) installed.  I've not seen my particular setup (two cables on the front terminal and two cables on the rear terminal) described in the diagrams or videos I've found.
