Nest IQ outdoor just stopped working

I have a Nest IQ outdoor that just all the sudden stopped working. I figured it might be the power supply (because what else could it be) so I ordered a new power supply but that did not work and camera is still DOA.

This is a VERY expensive unit and I am more than a little unhappy that it just stopped working. It has no cosemtic damage and is under an overhang so it doesn't even get soaked by rain.

I have tried all of the following with zero luck as well after reading other forum posts:

  • Have you tried to factory reset your camera? YES
  • Do you see any status lights on the camera? NO
  • Do you see any physical damage? NO
  • Have you made any changes to your internet connection? Or Router by chance? NO
  • What other troubleshooting steps have you completed thus far? NEW POWER UNIT

I have 19 nest cameras and a Nest thermostat. I'm pretty sure I know how to reset and work the cameras.

Any help on this would be appreciated,

Thank you.

Yes it's pretty sad when such a top notch product falls from glory. I originally purchased so many Nest products because they were miles ahead of the competition with great customer service.

Now they don't even seem to reply and no experts have chimed in as of yet.

You think they would be offering free replacements to customers due to all the recalled inventory they brought back with their IQ line from all across North America. I'm guessing they had a flood of warranty problems and customer complaints.

I will certainly be looking elsewhere when I replace mine as well. Hopefully whatever I do decide to buy doesn't get bought out by a huge corporate entity again!

both of my cameras (IQ) which are around four years old have died within the last 3 months, no power no lights, I’ve tested and power is still going to both cameras, obviously both are out of warranty so no longer worth anything to me. Nest has gone downhill since moving fully over to google, half the time i cant log in etc. my wife can still access, i can login to nest but cant see any of my devices… super frustrated have spent a lot of money on thermostats, smoke detection and cameras. I will be looking to replace everything and move to a company that is interested in more than where my phone is….
