Nest Indoor Camera Won’t Reset

DoreGuy

My indoor nest camera is pulsing blue but won’t connect to my Google home app. It’s a camera my dad gave me, and he disconnected it from his Google home app. I tried holding in the factory reset button with a paper clip for 20 seconds, but the light doesn’t stop flashing blue.  The app is giving me an error message when trying to connect to my Google home app “failed to connect to all addresses; last error: UNAVAILABLE: code:50”

Hi DoreGuy,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Nest Camera. Did you complete the setup process? If so, can you tell me the color of the camera's status light? If there's an error message, please share a picture.  If connected, can you view the live stream?

I also suggest you to follow the next information:

  • Update the Google Home app: We recently launched a new version of the Google Home app (v3.16). Can you confirm if your app is updated to the latest version? If the app is already updated, try uninstalling and reinstalling it to clear any potential glitches.
  • Create a new home: If your camera is already connected to a home, you can unlink it and re-link it in a new home structure.
  • Double-check the Factory Reset: Sometimes the factory reset was not done correctly, try it again and make sure to follow the steps in this article: Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell

Keep me updated how it goes.

Sincerely,

Jonathan
