I am just wondering if it is ok to install a Nest Indoor camera indoors in an unheated garage. The only negative is that it will get cold out there in winter but it's dry.

We've had an older 1st gen Google Nest Indoor Camera on the west wall in our unheated detached garage for almost 2 years now, through 2 Minnesota winters, where it can get as cold as -20 degrees Fahrenheit, and it's always stayed online. Maybe we've just been lucky. Or maybe, because the garage is usually 10 to 20 degrees warmer than outside in the winter, and with the camera generating a little heat, it's enough to keep the operating temperature above zero degrees Fahrenheit.

It depends how cold. You can find the operating temperate ranges for Nest Cams here.

Thanks, I can't imagine it would be less than zero, I assume there is no danger if it does, it just may not work?

No danger no, but it could damage the camera and not work.
