Nest Indoor camera won't econnect to any of my laptops

Hi,

I've just purchasted a NestCam indoors camera, and set up fine on my android mobile through Google home (if I try and open it in the nest app it pushed me into Google home.
However I can't get it setup to view on any other my windows devices.

If I plug the camera directly into the usb slot it just flashes forever rather than recognising the computer and setting up like it described, if I visit the nest home login page it says I have no device, and that's where it directs me to plug in via USB.

doesn't look like you can access Google home on the internet browser, does anyone have a solution to this please? The whole reason I go this camera was to be able to monitor cameras at home from work on my work laptop.

Hey there,

Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://bit.ly/3HtBgJC web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration.

However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support. I am more than happy to assist you further with this inquiry if you wish. Please let me know.

Best Regards,

Brad.

So does that mean it's impossible to be able to view the camera on my laptop?

@Stuy

At this time, yes that is correct. There is No option to view your camera feed on a web app version of Google Home. We hope to have this option available at some point.

Best regards,

Brad.

That's completely stupid, why on earth would you replace a good product with something with less features?

This is a joke, and I'd now like to return all my nest products.
