Nest Outdoor Camera Will not Connect to TP Link Wifi Mesh

Hi.

I have a TP-Link Deco AX3000 WiFi 6 Mesh System and many Google smart home devices. I was able to connect my Nest doorbell and many speakers (Nest home and Nest mini). Now, I'm trying to add my Nest Camera (outdoor) and I am not successful.

I have tried the following from the Home app: Forgetting + Removing the device

  • I have done a factory reset on the camera (15 seconds holding the button on the back of the camera)
  • It will not connect to the Home Wifi.
  • I also tried having it connect to the 2.4 GHz band only setting - this did not work.

Please let me know what else I can try? Thanks.

You have a perfect setup. Have you tried to move a mesh point close to the camera?

Yes, I tried that but that did not help.

I was able to resolve the issue today by resetting the cameras. Instead of using the QR code for setup, I used the code underneath the camera. THAT worked!

Please mark this thread as resolved. Thanks.
