Nest Outdoor Camera not longer show 24/7 video after google account migration and drops WIFI

My nest outdoor camera now only shows "events" in my video history, no longer 24/7 video which it used to show prior to account migration. The nest app shows that I have a nest aware subscription (expires 10/27/22) - I've had nest aware for many years! Also since reconnecting the camera to the nest app with google account sign in, it repeatedly drops WIFI although nothing in house WIFI network has changed. All of this has been happening since I migrated to google account sign in for the nest app.

Anyone have any suggestions as to fixing these issues?

More information: I finally migrated my nest account to my google account - as I was already using my google email for nest I followed the support article recommending removing all devices (in my case 1 thermostat, 1 camera and 7 protects), signing out and then signing in as google account and re-adding all devices.

Since the migration the camera only shows events, scrolling through time history it shows "No events detected". Also since removing and re-adding to the nest app the wifi/connectivity has been intermittent at best - nothing in the home network setup/placement has changed yet the camera frequently fails to connect to WIFI - checking my router I can see that the camera is not connected to the WIFI network,

Hi Simon,  I'm and end user like you.  The migration has been problematic for a lot of folks.  When the migration happens a lot of things change in the Google servers and it doesn't always complete properly.  I think your best bet is to call and speak with an actual google Tech so they can look at what is going on behind the scenes.    Here is the link to get you started to be able to speak with someone...

Thanks for information. I'm sharing here what I "found out" over the last couple of days using both the Nest app and Google Home app:

While the nest app shows that I have a nest aware subscription the google home app did not and required me to purchase a subscription which is weird but decided to purchase anyway. At checkout time, the purchase price was $0.00 (as my current nest aware subscription is valid till Oct 27th)!!! Now the Google home app shows I have a subscription like my nest app.

My original nest subscription was around $110 per year but I had purchased the cheaper $60 Google nest subscription (even though the cost was $0) and this plan doesn't offer the 24/7 video history.

In summary: after migration the subscription  doesn't seem to get carried over to Google home app but purchasing a new subscription albeit for $0 seemed to fix the issue. I will have to move to Nest Aware Plus subscription to get the 24/7 video history.

Thanks for the update and good to hear you have it sorted out.  My first thought on this was that maybe you have (2) different email addresses you are using to log into the Nest App verses the Google app.

I should have stated that the email address was the same - I had originally tried to migrate my nest account a while back but it failed which left me stuck using my gmail email address to sign into the nest app but it was viewed as a nest account, not signing in as a "google" account. This is the reason why I removed all devices and then added them again so I could use the same gmail email address but sign in using "google" - at least that worked!
