Nest app stopped streaming.

Works on Chrome and Google home app. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still get the spinning circle? Running Android 12. Was working fine on 12 so it's the last few days. Same issue on 4G and WiFi. Plus second home has same problem so it's an app thing?

Thanks for reaching out. No worries, we’ll check this out — does your phone have a pending software update? What’s the version of your Nest app? Also, do you have another device to test your Nest app’s functionality?

 

Going over the steps here might help:

 

Step 1: Verify the device’s Date and Time settings are correct and automatically set.

  1. Settings > General > Date and Time.
  2. Tap Set Automatically > toggle it off and then back on.
  3. Make sure that the timezone, date, and time are correct.

Step 2: Confirm that the Nest has permissions to use your phone's location.

  1. Settings > Apps > Nest > Permissions.
  2. Set Location to Allow all the time.

Step 3: Clear your device’s cache and storage.

  1. Go to the device's Settings > Apps > Nest or Home > Storage & cache.
  2. Tap Clear cache and Clear storage.

Late to the party...the nest app needed an update for android users..assuming most of us are already back and working.maybe your tips will be useful for somebody,sometime...
