Nest battery doorbell power adapter

Hello. After a few weeks, I have realised that my battery powered nest doorbell runs out of battery after a week or so and want to wire it instead, straight to a plug rather than via an existing doorbell. Apparently I need an adapter for it to work in the UK. Is that the case? Thanks! Duncan
