So back in 2022 there was an exact request for this right here but nobody was able to help or there was no way to do that.
I believe now there is but somehow it's not working correctly or I'm not setting it up correctly.
Goal: turn floodlight at sunset to 10%. Turn floodlight to 100% when camera detects motion and then back to 10% when no motion is detected.
Sunset: that's easy and working correctly via setup in the automations. Starters is "when the sun sets" and actions is "floodlight, turn on, set brightness to 10%"
The motion detection is not working however. I have starters set to "Camera detects motion" and actions set to "floodlight, set to 100%"
When I push play on this automation it does turn the floodlight to 100% but it will not do it when motion is detected. Help please

Hi @obsanity!
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I am sorry that you are having issues with the Nest Cam Floodlight night light and motion. I can see that you are trying to improve some features. In this case your feedback is invaluable to us and helps us identify areas for improvement. Then here I send you the feedback form where you can put your suggestions and share your experience.

Umm, so this is not feedback. This is a technical issue that should be passed to developers unless you have a solution. I mean I sent the same post in the form but there is no contact information in there for me to input so nobody is going to get back with me.
If you don't know how to solve this please leave this thread open so that other community members can reply.
Thank you

Hi @obsanity!
Thanks for clarifying the issue. You can try deleting the complete automation and creating it again. If after following these steps the issue persists, then I will suggest you check the following article: Create advanced home automations with the script editor to create a more specific automation.
Best regards,
Jeremy.
