Nest cam missing from nest app

My new Nest IQ cam shows up in Google home (where I successfully added it as a new product) but it’s missing from the Nest app. How can I get the camera to show up in the nest app?

The new "NEST" cams do not work with the old "NEST" app.  You are stuck with the Google Home app.  Read numerous other posts here regarding this topic

I am terribly sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time with this! I would love to look into this issue further and help find a solution for you.   • Do you still need help with this issue?

  • What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far?

  • Have you tried to restart your device if you haven’t already?

Yes, please confirm the one response posted is correct. Is the plan to get rid of the Nest app entirely at some point? I'm used to going to the Nest App so right now it's a pain to use 2 apps to see all cameras in my home (Nest app and Google Home app).

Hello IQcamIssues,  As far as I have read on various websites uses of the NEST BATTERY products will not see any changes of any kind until sometime in 2022.... yea.... 2022 <Heavy Sigh>

Not ETA whatsoever or even an idea if the new cameras will be available on the Nest app. Right now, they are only available on the Google Home App. Please let me know if there is more information I can provide you with.
