I have a WiFi network for my house. I have a separate WiFi for the garage. I want the camera on the garage and use that WiFi. I can set up the camera on the house WiFi. It uses the nest thermostat and the nest smoke detector to assist in set up. It never asks for a password. I remove the camera from home app, go to the garage WiFi and try to set it up. It keeps trying to use the other nest devices to aid in set up. But it t can’t see the other devices. I just want to manually enter the network and password. It is frustrating one can’t enter the correct information. If you want to change the WiFi network you have to remove the device and set it up again. It keeps looking for those other devices I believe and then fails. Any ideas?

Hi. I have a similar problem, with WiFi access points at each end of the house. I created a new home for one end of the house. Adding the camera to that home, I was able to say that the camera was the only device. I was able to manually select the SSID to join. Set up went smoothly. I can switch between homes in Google Home app for viewing. The issue is that I haven’t been able to get the camera on my existing Aware subscription. I have an open support case on that.

FYI. In the end, I gave up. My second home in the same house now has a second Aware subscription. You may not wish to use the approach of creating a new home to allow you to use your garage wifi connection. I think Google has failed us with the set up routine.
