I have a new Nest doorbel that i have successfully set up. It show up in the home app but it wont announce on my  Nest Hub (1st gen).

after some research i wanted to change some settings for announcements for the doorbel but the settings on my Home app only show “General” (name, house, space, spoken announcements) and “uncouple nest”. There should be more settings?
i can ipen the video stream fine on my ipad and iphone fine but when i open it on my Nest Hub it says Video Stream not available.

Can anybody help me?

@Zwets

Is your Nest Hub in the same Google Nest "home/structure" as your Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) in the Google Home app?

You should be able to turn on "Visitor announcements" for your doorbell using these instructions:

https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451

I cannot find this setting. I seem to have very limited options.

@Zwets

I don't know how Google Nest arranges its screens in Dutch, but your screen doesn't show much.

If you click on the "More" icon (the three dots in the upper right corner), what do you get?

If you get very little, then, as just an American customer, I don't know what's going on.

Yes they are

Hello everyone,

@Zwets thanks for posting here in the community. Let's see what we can do here. To know more about this issue, we wanted to get the information about what MplsCustomer is asking. Are your Nest Hub and Nest Doorbell on the same home structure through your Google Home app? Also, I noticed that you have a different interface than the usual settings page of Nest Doorbell. Try reinstalling your Google Home app.

Keep us posted.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Best,
Emerson

Yes. I stil need help. Nothing has gotten better

@Zwets

Do you still not have access to all your Settings for your battery doorbell in the Google Home app? And has Support really been unable to explain why? And has deleting and reinstalling the Google Home app failed to resolve the problem?

If we go to Settings for our battery camera in the Google Home app, we get the options shown below; I would think you should get something very similar for your battery doorbell. And if we select "Device information", we get a screen similar to the one you posted.

I just get the help and info. I also noticed that when viewing my live stream of the doorbel i see three word on the bottom (History, More..). However when i select More nothing shows or happens.

@Zwets

As just another Google Nest customer, I am out of ideas. I don't know why your doorbell is not displaying the Settings it should display.

You could try contacting Support starting with this link: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Have you tried updating the Google Home app, or deleting and reinstalling it?

I have just noticed that since the trial Nest subscription expred the HUb does make announcements. What still does not work is:

1. No live video stream on Hub (on iphone and ipad its fine)

2. Nest camera and thermostats are not visible in Google Home.

Hey there,

Thanks for getting back to us. Let’s see what’s going on. Are you viewing the right home structure your devices are connected to? Could you check if you have multiple home structures?

Here’s how to check if you have more than one home structure:

  1. At the top left corner of your Nest app home screen, tap Menu .
  2. Tap the home you want to switch to.
  3. You’ll be taken back to the app home screen where you can find the Nest products you have in the home you’ve selected.

Also, have a look at this article on how to Stream your security camera using your Google Nest display.

Let me know how it goes.

Hey Zwets,

Got it — thanks for trying. Could you try it on the Google Home app and let me know if that helps?

You cannot remove Home structures within the nest app. I already tried in the Home app. Result is an error message saying Cannot connect to the cloud

Hey there,

Got it — thanks for trying. Are there devices in the home structure you’re trying to remove? If so, move the devices to a different home so you can remove the home structure in question in the Google Home app.

Thanks,

JT
