Just got a battery doorbell and for the life of me can’t get it set up. I read a few solutions that involved creating a new home and connecting the doorbell first before any other devices - this worked for me also, but I have too many devices that I would have to switch over to a new home. Also, my nest subscription is for my main “home” not the new one I created to test this solution.
is there really no other solution other than making a new home? This doesn’t sound like an intended feature.
the issue is when I connect the doorbell to power when prompted on the setup, the doorbell chimes, but the white pulsing light doesn’t turn blue, and if I continue with the installation is says “something went wrong”
thanks for any help!

Hi there,
Sorry to hear about that and for being steps ahead. What other Google Nest devices do you have? Also, how far is it from the other devices?
You can check this article on how to Troubleshoot Nest camera and doorbell setup messages for general steps or use a different phone or have a family member add the devices to further isolate.

Steve
