I've just installed the Nest doorbell battery
When I ring the doorbell it only announces on one of the google minis (in my child's bedroom)
I want it to chime on my google nest which is located in my kitchen - is this possible?
TIA

Visitor announcements are supposed to be sent to every Nest Hub and Nest Mini (and certain other Nest devices) that are in the same "home" or "structure" in the Google Home app, and Google Nest does not give us an option to configure them separately.

Hi Chan2558, Mpls is correct. The only thing I can think of is the one in your kitchen set to have all the alerts turned OFF?
To check this go into the Google Home app and select the device in the kitchen. Then hit the gear in the upper right corner and select Notifications & Digital Wellbeing. Make sure the Do Not Disturb option is not turned on.
Hope this helps. Please return here and let us know if and when you find a solution.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions
The nest, doorbell and minis are all linked within the same home structure. And the DND is not turned on and the door bell is still only going to minis. When I ask the nest to show me my front door it links me to the camera but the bell just won't chime on the nest when rung. Very frustrating as the doorbell is useless if I can only hear it from the kids bedrooms.
Any other suggestions?
Ands is it normal that I can't add the nest doorbell to the Nest app?

Hi Chan2558, Well, I can tell you that I bought the Doorbell Battery to replace my Nest Hello and I ended up returning it about a week later because of so many limititations as compared to the Nest Hello. I just couldn't live with the fact that is started recording way to late (even when AC Powered) and people were often turned around and walking away before it would show me their face. And also that lack of the ability to see it from my computer's browser was a problem for me.
And the biggest issue of all was that the new doorbell (and all the new line of cameras) would not work with the Nest App. I have spent years using that app and I know exactly how to use it without thinking. And now here they go announcing it is reaching end of life and I have learn Google Home with is far inferior to the Nest App.
But more to your question, I ended up going back to the Nest Hello. The problem I repeatedly have is that I get an alert on my (2) google Hubs that someone has pushed the doorbell button but the 90% of the time the screen is just blank with a gray screen. I reboot the hub and it fixes it for about an hour then the problem comes scream back. I have given up that it will every work properly
Super frustrating!
