Nest doorbell not connecting to Wi-Fi

We have recently moved and now our Google nest doorbell won’t find the Wi-Fi when I’m doing the setup. I’ve been in contact with Google and tried all of the rebooting options and in the end they just sent me a new device. Now I’m having the same issue with the new device, of it not being able to even find our Wi-Fi network but can find other networks around. It’s strange because our TV phone computers are all connected to our Wi-Fi so I’m not too sure why the Nest doorbell can’t find it? Any help would be great as the Google Team haven’t been very helpful

Hi there,

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest Doorbell cannot find the Wi-Fi network. I'm happy to help!

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

  • What kind of Nest Doorbell do you have?
  • How far is the Nest Doorbell from the router?
  • Are you getting any error messages?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the Doorbell?
  • What's the status LED light?
  • Are you using the Google Home app or Nest app?

In the meantime, let's check a few things:

  • Factory Reset: Try factory resetting the Doorbell. This should clear any stored Wi-Fi settings. Refer to this article: Factory reset Nest Doorbell. Depending on the model you have.
  • Distance: Ensure the Doorbell is within range of your router. Try moving it closer to see if it connects.
  • Reinstalling and Uninstalling the app: This can solve some glitches. Download the app again from the app store.
  • Interference: Physical objects like walls, large metal appliances, or other electronic devices can interfere with Wi-Fi signals.

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Melany
