Nest exterior camera

I have a non-Nest brand motion sensor and an exterior Nest camera. If the motion sensor base alarm goes off I look at my phone and check out the Nest app to see on the exterior camera if it is an intruder or something else (e.g. branches moving in the wind or racoon).

The non-Nest motion sensor base works up to half a mile away. It would be handy when I am out of town to give the motion sensor base to My next door neighbor and set him up to have access to whatever the camera is recording if/when the motion sensor alarm is triggered. Is this possible? If so, how?
