I've had a nest hello doorbell for over 5 years but in the last month I am getting repeated connection issues rendering it next to useless.
I've been through all the troubleshooting exercises and can't keep factory resetting it to get a connection when I notice it disconnected.
It still shows on my network as connected, but the nest app shows it as offline.
Probably started around the time of the public preview which I came out of and it still has the remnants of 4 doorbell setups inactive for the one doorbell.
Is it time to replace or upgrade, or is there a real fix to the instability.
I have a mesh setup and have tried linking the doorbell to the closest node.
I also have other indoor and outdoor cameras plus a hub max which do not have such problems.
Any ideas

Same issue here. Between this and the fact that I cannot make the chime ring on my google speaker device, I am about to dump the Nest and go to Ring. So frustrating.

Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand you're experiencing repeated connection inconveniences with your Google Nest Hello, and that it's not chiming on your Google Nest speaker. I appreciate you've already attempted troubleshooting. Let's work together to find a solution! To gather more information, I'd like to ask the following questions:
Let me know if you have any additional information; it’ll be helpful.
Best regards,

OK Juan, so here's the things I tried
1) Reset option
2) Yes I have visitor announcements turned on, I do not have a chime and use Nest Speakers and hubs as my chime
3) Yes I have the latest google home app on my phone and other device
So the reason for multiple doorbells showing as offline was because I had tried the Public Preview of Google Home and that failed causing the offline doorbells "Front Door" to appear in my list of devices on Google Home.
SO the latest is that I brought a new battery doorbell and was about to connect that through google home and it picked up the Nest Hello and has now configured it.
So my advice to people with a nest hello doorbell, is if it disconnects, remove it from the Nest app, and then add it back through Google home.
My only frustration is that google home doesn't yet support the Nest Thermostats so you need multiple apps rather than doing everything through a single portal

Hi Erniem64,
Thank you for following up and the detailed information. I appreciate your advice regarding the Nest Hello setup process. I'd like to know your Nest Thermostat model to check its support availability on the Google Home app. Here's a link for your reference: How to tell which Nest thermostat you have
Keep me posted.

Juan

I have a gen 3 thermostat.
Have to configure it through the Nest app for it to appear in Google home.

Seems like a great way to force everyone who was holding out on moving Nest Hello to Google Home from the NEST app. I have been holding out since the transfer previously bricked my old Nest Indoor camera.

I came out of the public preview because I only want a single app and not two.
But now I've been forced that route, hopefully they will make the home app fully take over from the Nest app which should be easy as they own all of the code.

Agree. I lost an indoor camera that was used in my infant childs room and so now I do not trust this transfer process. Completely bricked it.
