Nest indoor/outdooe cam battery

Nest indoor/outdoor battery cam has been working perfectly for 4 or 5 yrs plugged in permanently (maybe longer). It has been dropping out regularly so have deleted it from the home app and tried to restore it and keep getting the "there has been a problem" message after seeming to go thru the "connecting to another device" stage. Have done hard reset, turned wifi on/off, rebooted modem and so on. When I unplug the cam it seems to go off so suspect the battery is dead - can that be replaced?

Hi Byrnzi,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I'm sorry your Nest Cam Outdoor or Indoor (battery) is dropping out and getting the "there has been a problem" message. I appreciate all your efforts in trying to get it working again by resetting it, turning your WiFi on/off, and rebooting the modem. I understand the importance of getting your  Nest Cam Outdoor or Indoor (battery) up and running as expected. I'm here to help! To gather some more information, I'd like to ask the following questions:

  • What's the color of the LED status light?
  • How far is the device from the router?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the Nest Cam Outdoor or Indoor (battery)?

Let me know if you have any additional information; it’ll be helpful.

Best regards,
Juan
