Nest outdoor battery camera

Hi There

i have not charged my battery on my outdoor nest camera for quite some time. I hooked it up today to charge and after two hours there is no charge. I tried the factory reset but after holding the reset button down for 12 secs, nothing is happening still. Does anyone have any suggestions or is it pooched?

How long did your battery camera have a dead battery? Do you have the charging cord mounted in the base with the cord feeding towards the FRONT of the camera? Have you tried cleaning the contact points?  Maybe if you clean the points and then try again, it will start charging eventually.

We have had a battery camera for almost 3 years, but ours is always plugged in with the optional power cable, and has always remained charged.

You could try contacting Support to see if there are any issues if the camera has had a depleted battery for an extended period of time:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.
