Nest outdoor camera (battery) "Couldn't Connect"

Greetings,

I connected my camera and it was working perfectly. I was able to go to the app, click it in devices and watch it live. However, 10 mins later the device now states "Couldnt Connect" when trying to watch it live. It is still recording and sending the recording to the "activity" section. I connected a second camera and placed it in the same location outside and have zero issues. I tried to delete the camera from my devices to do another setup, but the option for me to delete the device is not there as it states "Couldn't Connect". Any suggestions would be wonderful! FYI, I have already tried resetting the camera with that small button.

I’m sorry for the inconveniences that you’ve been experiencing with your Nest Cam Battery. I can see that it was working fine, a couple of minutes later it started to show a message saying “Couldn’t connect,” and it was not showing the live feed anymore even though it was still recording the activity and saving it on the video history. You have tried resetting the camera, but the trouble persists. You also have other Nest cameras that are working with no inconvenience. No worries, help is here.
Here are some steps that you can follow to have your camera working again:

  • Restart your Nest camera.
  • Restart your WiFi router and check the live feed on your camera again.
    • Unplug the router for 30 seconds, then plug it back in to successfully restart the device.
  • If the trouble persists, perform a factory reset on your device and set up the device again to your account.
