Hi, I've got lots of nest products in the house including three with cameras. I've recently switched my access points from cisco Mr33 's to ubiquiti unifi6 aps. I have two aps, one at each end of the house and coverage is very good. I have split band WiFi for legacy and smart devices to connect to 2.4gz.
I've always had connectivity problems with the outdoor nest cam when there has been a power cycle whether that be graceful or ungraceful (power cut) where the camera wouldn't connect and permanently said offline. I'd have to either factory reset or rejoin the wireless manually.
Since changing access points the outdoor cam won't stream at all and appears offline constantly. Going through a factory reset process it connects to the wireless fine with high levels of signal but then when adding to nest account the live stream preview doesn't load and neither does it after completing setup. The access point has high throughput of bandwidth and exception signal with the camera only being approx 5m away from the AP.
There are limited settings on the AP so not much to change. Any idea why this would be? I've read in another community post that the outdoor cam will be compatible with a wifi6 environment.
