That shouldn't happen. We have a mixture of 1st and 2nd gen Google Nest doorbells and indoor and outdoor cameras that are between 3 and 5 years old. The only one that has failed was our first, a Nest Hello Doorbell, and Google Nest replaced that under warranty.

Have you been able to contact Support and get replacements?

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

You are not lucky as three of my cameras are first generation cameras which I have had and working for about seven years now. I have one second generation indoor camera working now for about 4-5 years and one doorbell second generation camera working for about 2 1/2 years now.
