Happy New Year!
I have 5 outdoor wired cams and every time the power out 2 of them i have in the front of my home won't power back up. Unplugging then from the outlet for a for a while doesn't work. What i did find out that if i unplug the USB plug from the disk and back in and then to the outlet it works on both of them. Once this is done they connect right back up to the WiFi. This is a pain having to get on an 8ft latter to do this every time. These 2 cams were purchased together as a pair. The USB disk have the Google symbol on them.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Update Problem solved.
So after receiving the new power adapters for the 2 cameras I connected them let them work for a few days then shut off the power for a few hours and it didn't work. They did the same thing not powering up on both cameras. Contacted Nest and demanded 2 new cameras. It was a struggle for over an hour on the phone but worth it. They tied to tell me to plug them into a different outlet area but told them I'm an electrician and insured them the circuit was good. After receiving the new ones and installing them they worked perfectly because we actually had a power outage last night from freezing temperatures and they powered right back up. Hope this helps.

I think that is the common complaint. Nest needs to fix this Little hard for me as I am over a thousand miles away from a few of the cameras and I have others that are at a cabin which looses powers 4-5 times a year All the other wireless items came back except for the nest cameras. I was looking into a power switch that was wireless enabled to cycle the power but I shouldn’t have to do this to fix a Nest issue

Agree we shouldn't have to purchase or add anything else. Looking at my other cameras the ones that power right back up are Nest originals. The 2 with the issue are the newer models, Google. I'm Thinking if we can get them to replace the disk with the older ones it should work. I will call tech support and argue that point and see what happens.

Those are the ones I have them at three different properties. They are great as long as I don’t every loose power. I have the power issues at every location.

Update: So i contacted tech support and explained to them about what we are experiencing whenever the power goes out. I specifically told them how unplugging the cord from the socket doesn't work but when the USB is unplugged first then plug it in then works. They said they are sending me 2 new power cord adapters within 2 to 5 business days. I will update when I receive them, test them and simulate a power outage to see if this works.
