Nest replacement

I have to say I have been very skeptical about transferring my nest cameras to google.  After reading the feedback I’m happy I have not done that.  After the failure of one of my HQ cameras, I’m now looking for a recommendation for a replacement camera system.  

I don’t trust google! They seem only interested in obtaining data.  I’m not sure why they bought Nest since they DO NOT SEEM TO CARE about existing NEST owners. I followed nest from the beginning and the technology was AWESOME. Now the app situation is more that complicated and not user friendly.

Does anyone have experience with other systems.  I like to set it up and leave it.  No battery changing.  I just want to monitor my house so I can capture who breaks into my cars and of course watch the wild animals around my house.

I would appreciate some feedback.

So I only have experience with nest products , and considering this is a nest forum I'm not sure what kind of feedback others will have.  Saying that, I have escalated your other post about your camera that failed.  

As for switching to Google home from nest, keep in mind that when two companies merge there are bound to be growing pains , things will get smoothed out, look at the recent post pinned to the too of the forum about the feedback they have got in regards to the nest products.  They do take feedback seriously and want to make things right, just give them time

Yes,

I would like to see if I can get me camera evaluated and repaired.  Since google doesn’t sell this camera anymore, I’m a bit concerned about stepping DOWN to a lesser camera.

Please let me know how I can get the camera evaluated to see if it is indeed able to be repaired.

Which camera model do you have by chance? There are some that we do not offer any longer, so getting it repaired or replaced could be difficult to impossible.

Thank you for responding.  I have the outdoor IQ camera.  There is a issue with the power.  The camera was working fine and then just stopped.  It didn’t show signs the camera and picture  going, it just quit.

Does the new camera work without the eaves dropping hardware.  I am totally against putting a google listening device in my house to supply them data for free.  I don’t need a hacker listening to my habits not knowing when I’m not home from a far.  The listening devises are invitations for crime not only from people who have ill intentions but by multinational beheamouth corporations who want to take over the world in how we communicate.
