Nest wired doorbell seasonal theme not available

No selection on the app for doorbell theme to change from ding dong to seasonal sounds.

Why? How do I get them added to my app for selection and use?

Hi there,

The Doorbell theme is currently set for default "ding dong" tone. The special seasonal sounds will be available around some holidays and will be available in the Nest app.  I noticed the Halloween theme is gone today and only default is showing for me.

This is from the Google Nest Help Center:

In addition to standard themes, seasonal doorbell themes are available around some holidays. You can change the theme or set a different chime sound in the app’s doorbell settings.

After the holiday, your doorbell automatically goes back to the default tone, and the seasonal theme disappears in the app.

Came here to ask the same question. I had Halloween yesterday but now the only option is (default)

Seasonal theme Thanksgiving Gobble showed up for me today. (US/Eng)

Yes i am.
I feel that a functionality has been removed/sacrificed .
I will not cast aspersions as to WHY (i.e. to make the newer model more attractive with more features)
The old version of the software had loads of different  ringtones. Now, i cannot even put “seasonal chimes” on my nest front door.
The option has been REMOVED from the settings menu. (It was there but now isnt)
So yes, i would say i am still having issues with the functionality of my product.

Thank you for sharing your feedback! The seasonal tones that are offered are only available for a limited amount of time. I am sorry to hear that you missed out on the Halloween tones, but I am sure the Holiday may be coming up. But as a default, it only comes with 1 single tone I am afraid. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Any idea when the seasonal themes will return? I also had them for Halloween and Thanksgiving. I had them last year for the different holidays too (Hanukkah, Christmas, etc). But the whole “Doorbell Theme” option is now missing.

hello i simply do not have the option on the app for “doorbell theme”  as in the option has disappeared, not referring to the ringtone the action section “doorbell theme” is all together missing. Iphone 12 pro v15.2

Me too the doorbell theme option has totally gone. Surely this can not be taken away from original users as it was part of the product we purchased. Not happy

Yesterday I had the options u see doorbell theme for a “Turkey gobble.”  Today I don’t even have doorbell Theme as an option to choose from.

My option has totally disappeared from both best and Google home app for doorbell theme. I want my Christmas chime. Where has the option gone?. I have all upto date apps

Why is the doorbell theme not even in the settings menu? Does it only appear when holiday options are available?

Hey folks,

 

Once the Holiday is over, the themes may disappear. However, it should still default to the standar tone. I am sure we will get the winter holiday themes here soon but I do not have an ETA. In the meantime, if you are getting no alert/chime then I would restart your Nest Hello doorbell. You can learn how to do that here

Im not sure if what we are saying is being understood let me try again - when u scroll in settings there is an option called 

“doorbell theme” this you would click for themes 

 

what we are saying is the actual “doorbell theme” option under settings is altogether missing. As in there is no setting called doorbell theme

Yes, that is normal. The option only show up when there are other chimes available. Otherwise when it’s just the default that is currently available the option disappears. It’s not a bug, that’s how it’s always been.

Hi, 

I have the seasonal chimes now but when I switch the Christmas, winter etc it still does the default ding dong. Tried it on my iOS and Android devices but same issue occurs

For me the holiday themes appeared today but none of them work when the doorbell is pressed.

Mine is showing but not working either, just the ding ding no matter what theme is selected in the app, please let me know if anyone has any luck.

Same for me. “Doorbell theme” is back, but none of the options work. Doorbell is still default “ding dong” no matter which theme is selected.

I have seen that others are no longer having this issue. Please if you haven't yet already, restart your Nest Hello and mobile device, and try again. They should be available. I have seen many users state that it is working for them. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
