Nestcam Plug Direction

Can we find out who the product genius was who decided that you can only connect a plug to the nest cam in one specific direction?  

why would anyone, even someone who is temporarily charging the battery, suggest that the charging cable should face outwardly? 

why not make it reversible?  Why not make it possible to even hide it altogether?

after 3 years, we’re still waiting for the updated hardware version that supposedly incorporated all of our feedback.  But looks like that is nowhere in sight. And my hardware is about to be at end of life.   Google 1. Consumer 0

I agree! We've had the battery camera plugged in for 23 month with the optional power cable feeding (awkwardly) towards the FRONT of the camera.
