This is frustrating. I have tried to connect it many times but it won't fine a connection. My nest cam with floodlight works fine, this is the latest version. Could if be that as it is a series 1, that it is just incompatible with the system.

The Google Nest Outdoor Camera (we have 3 of them) work in the Google Nest app UNLESS you have "transferred" the camera to the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app.
Your post does not explain why your Google Nest Outdoor Camera is currently disconnected.

I don't know why it is not connected. It is on the same WiFi as my other nest cam and when I try and connect it it says it cannot connect. I've tried it closer to the hub but no difference. As it is about 5 years old I thought ot may have become obsolete.

Are you logging onto the Google Nest app and the Google Home app with the same Google Account and are both cameras in the same Google Nest "home/structure"? When did you notice your Google Nest Outdoor Camera was disconnected? Did you make any other changes at that time?
