I had 3 1st gen outdoor cams and nest aware on my nest app. Unknowingly I bought a new 2nd gen cam not knowing it wouldn’t be compatible with the nest app. All my cams show up on the home app but only my 3 original cameras show previous days events. The 2nd gen cam only shows events for the previous 3 hours and the nest app doesn’t recognize the new cam. How do I get the new cam to work with nest aware subscription? Can’t we just update the nest app to recognize the 2 gen cams? It is a much better app for the cameras. Help

The newer 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells work only in the Google Home app, and NOT in the Google Nest app. (We discovered this 3 years ago when we bought a battery camera, and have been using 2 apps ever since.)
Do you by any chance have a 1st gen Nest Aware subscription, which applies only to specific 1st gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells? I believe you can check that subscription here: https://store.nest.com/account/subscriptions
A 2nd gen Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription (available since 2019) apples to ALL 1st gen AND 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure"; you need to have migrated your Nest Account to a Google Account (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9297676) and be logging into the Google Nest app using the "Sign in with Google" option in order for the subscription to cover your 1st gen cameras and doorbells. You can check that subscription here: https://store.google.com/subscriptions
