New Nest Camera doesn't even work with Nest app? Deceptive Advertising. Returning NOT-Nest cameras

I have over 20 Nest cameras and while I've had issues it has at least been consistent about their operation.  Now with Google taking over, (account migration was terrible when it occurred)  now they think they can sell a Nest camera as a Nest camera that won't even work on the Nest site.  So now that I've become accustomed to this app and site, without notice if I buy a new camera (you can't buy the original outdoor anymore apparently either) I have to complete swap apps and sites to Google Home.  A site that doesn't have the look and feel or the capability with Nest Aware, even though that product leaves alot to be desired.

Do no evil appears to only be paid lip service at Google anymore!

It really is deceptive to call the new Google Nest Camera Battery a "Nest" camera.

Right, and the other feature they dropped is access to your cams with a web browser. These new cams only work with the App as of right now.

Hi there, folks.

I am very glad to hear that you are interested in the new Nest Cameras! I can understand with the launch of these new cameras, there may be some confusion and I would love to answer your questions for you and help you the best I can! Thank you so much for bringing your questions about our new camera to our attention.

  • The new Nest Cam (battery), Nest Cam with Floodlight (wired), and Nest Cam (wired) as well as the Nest Hello (battery) are only available in the Google Home App. You are not able to add them to the Nest App.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance! I look forward to your response.

Best Regards,

Brad.

It is terribly inconvenient to be unable to use my new Google NEST cameras on my NEST account.  Am I supposed to have different cameras on different accounts in different apps?  And the fact you didn't provide this information before I bought the product and spent almost an hour trying to connect is highly damaging to my willingness to buy any Google products in the future.  You need to make your products work simply and compatibly and if you can't do that, warn buyers what they can and can't do.

Also, I'm already paying for service for my Nest cameras.  Will that cover Google Home and two cameras on that app?  Given all these complications, how do I return the two cameras I bought?
