Newer Nest Cameras (Battery) not showing up in Nest app or desktop computer

I recently purchased one of the newer Nest cameras (Indoor/Outdoor Battery). I am extremely disappointed that this new device cannot be viewed on the Nest app or on a desktop computer. It can only be viewed on the Google Home app. In contrast, I cannot turn on and off my Nest thermostats from the Google Home app. I can only control the temperature, so I have to go back to the Nest app to do that. If I would have known about this issue, I would have gone with another brand that's both more user friendly and less expensive. Are there plans to include these newer cams to the Nest app and desktop computers? If the answer is no, then I will definitely go with another brand. BTW, according to a poll that I "googled" on Bing and Yahoo (Google search engine does not pull up results for a specific question regarding this), there are over 85 % that would do the same. I certainly hope that you will consider integrating the newer cameras with the Nest app. I have enjoyed Nest products for many years.

I have the same issue exactly.

Please include the new cameras in the nest app or integrate the nest app onto Google home. This 50/50 stuff is very irritating.

Also have this issue. I know there is a lawyer on here somewhere. Let's get a class action lawsuit going. False Advertising should be an extremely easy case to prove here, and Google certainly has some money to refund us for their half baked product / software.

Hey, all.

Sorry about the confusion around the new cameras. They are not compatible with the old Nest app and must be controlled via the Home app. As all devices begin to transition to Home in order to create a single point of control, new devices are not going to be backwards compatible with legacy apps. If there's anything else I can do for you, just let me know.

Thanks.
