No Doorbell Ring

Installed Puck and Camera. My current transformer is too low.  The light started flashing Amber as expected. But, doorbell does not ring as it should per Google setup information. Rang before I wired it up and with only Puck installed with old standard doorbell. There is obviously power to have the amber light flash. Is this possible sometimes with the low transformer still installed. Or, should the bell be ringing? 

Also, with the low transformer I assume Google Home will not find and connect to the Doorbell.

I believe Google Nest's requirements for doorbell transformers are designed to ensure there is enough power for the doorbell's functions and for the doorbell's camera. If you have a transformer that has insufficient power, it may have enough power to flash the amber light but not enough power for the Nest doorbell to ring your doorbell chime or power the camera.

The chime puck is designed to provide continuous power to your Nest doorbell without triggering your doorbell chime, while allowing your doorbell chime to ring when the circuit is closed, so I don't think it's surprising your standard doorbell would work with the chime puck installed.

I don't think you can get around the transformer requirements:

That makes sense. Just was that the Install iInstructions mentioned still being able to use doorbell. I also spoke to Tech Support and they said same thing. I will wait till I get the new transformer Tuesday, reset doorbell and setup per Home App.
