No Nest Cam Battery Notifications on Samsung A52

I have just installed a Nest Cam Battery, but cannot get any event notifications on my Samsung A52 (Android 13).  When I use my account and sign in instead on a Moto G8 (Android 11) or Nokia 5.1 plus (Android 10) mobiles I have access to, it works fine.  On my Samsung I have tried all the various suggestions out there, including re-installing the Home app, resetting and re-installing the camera, setting the camera up on a different home to my other devices, disabling then re-enabling the various notification settings and zone definitions, all to no avail.   Is there a known issue with the Home app on Samsung Android 13? Any thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Make sure the home app has all it's permissions, and notifications aren't silenced. Could also uncheck it from losing permissions when unused. My work phone and wife's phone are Samsung and ive had to manually change these things. My personal p7p just works.

Thanks for the suggestions.  Have double-checked (and toggled) those settings, but still no joy.

Only other thing I got is make sure the zone notifications are correct

Yep, checked all those with varying combinations too - event and zone detection is working properly, but just no notifications even when selected.  But thanks!

Have you checked if your phone has any software updates and check if it will help the issue. Also, make sure that your Do not Disturb is not turned on. Looking forward to your response.

Yes, I have checked all those things.  I have since logged the issue with Google Support, and after a couple of sessions running through the various items the issue has been escalated to the Google Engineering support team.

Hi JT,

Yep, in the hands of Google Engineering now.  FYI, I have been able to work-around the problem by registering the Nest Cam with the SmartThings app on my Samsung phone, and using a SmartThings "Routine" to notify me when it detects Nest Cam activity.
