No notification on home and Nest hub units when doorbell is activated

We have a Nest doorbell with battery. It does not give us a notification on our Home and Nest Hub units when someone rings the doorbell.

It USED to do this!! We would hear the "Ding dong sound" and it would say "There is someone at the door" and we could interact via the Nest Hub. Now we only get a notification on our phones and when we are home we do not have the phone on us at all times. This is highly frustrating - especially since It has worked a short while ago.

How do I get it to work again??

@Rinapigen

If you have "Visitor announcements" turned on for your Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) in the Google Home app, you should get visitor announcements on your Nest Hubs and other Nest speakers.

@MplsCustomer Thank you for the reply. I agree - I would expect that to work, but I have activated "Visitor announcements" and nothing happens. I have even tried to remove the doorbell from Home and reconnect it, but it still does not work. The doorbell only rings outside and sends a notification to my phone.

Above the "Visitor announcements in the Home app it says: "Electronic audio devices do not work with your doorbell when running on battery power" - but it HAS worked (and besides it makes NO sense that a doorbell cannot ring??).

I do not know what to try next to make it work again - *sigh*

On the new battery doorbell, for "Visitor announcements", what does "Electronic audio devices do not work with your doorbell when running on battery power" mean?

A customer on another thread (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/Nest-doorbell-BATTERY-audible-chime/m-p...) says their Google Home app says "electronic chimes won’t work with your doorbell when it’s using battery power”.

Has Google Nest disabled "Visitor announcements" when the battery doorbell is running on battery power?
