No notifications when Nest Camera unmounts from base

I have Nest Camera (battery) mounted to the included magnetic mount.  I would like to get notifications when the camera gets knocked off the mount.  Is that available for Google Home?  Other posts seem to indicate that people are getting these types of notifications but I can't figure out how to get them.

Hey there,

Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

Best regards,
Brad

I have restarted the device and that didn’t solve the issue.

Hello everyone,

@billyo516 thanks for getting back to us. I've tried it from our test devices here and it didn't give me any notification when I unmount it from it's magnetic mount. I've tried it with the Google Home app open and close. You could only see that Nest Camera can't be reached and will tell you the percentage of the charge. I can agree with you that this is a must have feature for the Nest Cameras. I'd suggest you send feedback about your concern using this form to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this.

I appreciate your help, Brad and Abi.

Regards,
Emerson
