How to reduce unnecessary notifications

My house faces the street. I get notified about EVERY car that passes by. I've set up activity zones just around the door and car and asked for no notification in the other zones. Still cars driving by send me notifications. So I took opposite approach and set a zone around the street view and asked for no notification just in that area. Every car going by still sends notifications. Help!

Hi Georgelodato,  Are you talking about the NEST APP or the GOOGLE HOME app?   If you are talking about the GOOGLE HOME app you can individually turn off notifications for cars, animals, packages and people.   I think you have to create at least 1 zone then you click on that zone and you can turn on/off the alerts for cars.  Give it a try and let me know if it work.

I have all the areas set as people only and I still get notifications when there isn't anybody there when a car passes by when the headlights hit the area usually when a cat or dog walk by I still get notifications and it's set for people only and no notifications outside the zones and I still get notifications outside the zones

I have the same problem. I'm getting notifications from "outside of a zone" with both notifications turned off.  And even if i try to create specific zone for the "outside zone" and uncheck the two notifications for that zone I still get notifications from that zone... Have also uncheked the three notifications for "Your camera can let you know when it hears a loud noise".

Wow,  I'm at a loss.  The only thing I can think of is try a full power-down of the phone and bring it back up.  That is a known way of fixing alerts in the apps.    Maybe worth a try.  Let me know if it fixes it.
