Notifications when doorbell is pressed

I've recently installed a battery nest doorbell, and found out that when I'm out of the house and only have my phone, the only indication that my doorbell has been pressed is a standard android notification. Now this would be fine if I could change the notification sound to be able to differentiate it from every other notification on my phone, but this isn't possible!! Even better if my phone would ring if the doorbell button is pressed. How can such a simple feature have been missed!?
