Hi, Our electrician accidentally used a high voltage transformer on the doorbell and now even though it's attached the a low voltage transformer, the nest chime part only partially works. How can I order a spare one of these (the white disk that goes inside the mechanical chime)?
Just checking in to see if you still need help with this. We'll leave this topic open for another 24 hrs in case there are any follow up questions or comments. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
I contacted the Nest Support Team I was told I would be sent the spare part for free. I was chuffed. Then the next day the same person contacted me and said as I was out of warranty they were unable to provide the part but if I wanted to buy it I could and then they sent me a link to a US store when I’m based in the UK. Bad service. The person had my full details and the product details from the beginning so if I was out of warranty that should have been raised on first contact, or if they weren’t sure I was eligible they should have not made promises.
I've got your case and I've sent you an email — let's continue our conversation there. We'll look into this. Please take note that this thread will be locked. Feel free to create a new one if you have any new issues, updates or just a discussion topic in the future.
