Our brand new Nest Wired Doorbell has its QR code and all numbers wiped out

We bought this 5 months ago but never installed it. Now the QR code and the numbers are unreadable. Contacted Google Support and they said 'buy another new one'. 
What do we do now ? Paid $200 bucks for it and can't use it.

That is super unfortunate. How did the info get wiped off, especially being new? As you already know, that information is required to set up the camera and without it, there’s not much that can be done.

 

If I remember correctly, the QR code and entry key might also be on the inside sleeve of the box. So if you still have the box, that could help.
