Outdoor Nest Camera

I have an outdoor Nest Camera that is pre-google.  I have tried everything to set it up and it wont work.  I went to best buy to ask about it.  Their geek squad tells me that since Google bought Nest the two products do not work together and we just have to wait for Google's software to catch up.  Is this true?  Does google have a customer service telephone number?

Any help is appreciated.

Best Buy is not quite correct here.  If you have the 1st generation Nest cameras then you should only use the NEST app to with them.  Which is a very good thing because the Nest app is far better than the newer Google Home app when it comes to cameras.

There are many youtube videos on how to set up your camera.   Try watching those.

The best thing I can tell you is to make sure you do a FULL RESET to factory settings before trying add it to your system.  Here is a link that tells you how to do that.  (do not just do the RESTART).

If all else fails you can try opening a support ticket with Google and see if they can help (this should probably be your last resort).  Here is the link
