Outdoor Nestcam battery does not "see" vehicles

I spent an hour on the phone with support and then got disconnected and she didn't call back.  Cars and trucks driving up my driveway are not consistently "seen."  I do get notifications about persons seen but I don't get notifications and there is nothing in the history about vehicles.  I"m thinking that being able to see vehicles driving up my driveway would be a good use of a security camera but this camera does not see them!  Is there some intentional slow wakeup period? Endless scrolling over the history also does not show the vehicles, either so this is both a problem with the camera "seeing" them and there won't be notification for something the camera does not see.  The notifications I do get when the camera is working are pretty slow.  A criminal would be inside my front door before I got any notification.  Is there a fix for this?  I had this happen with a wired Nest camera and it was better after a replacement.
