A month or so ago, we had high winds pass through the neighbourhood, which somehow resulted in the camera coming off its base (yes, it seems the winds were THAT strong).
The camera works fine and still records etc, though the battery life is going down, despite it being connected to power via the 10m cable.
Of course with my luck, it's no longer under warranty (exp Sep 2023).
Any suggestions please?

sounds like the cable or connector is not up to par anymore. Buy a cheap cable online and see if you can charge it with that one & check the connectors on the camera, see if they're bent or something

What do you mean your "battery life is going down"?
We've had a battery camera for 3 years now, plugged in with the optional power cable. (We also have the security loop, so ours should never fall down.). When we go to Settings | Battery it says "Plugged in" with an infinity symbol. We never see the battery percentage unless we unplug the camera; whenever we've done so, the battery percentage has always been between 77% and 100%.
Since your camera is always plugged in, it should be running on household current and the batter should be sufficiently charged at all times. Is your USB plug damaged?

Update: I took the camera down from the mount and plugged it in to charge inside. Remounted the camera and now it's working as it should. Battery is now an "infinity" symbol. I cleaned the points very lightly with alcohol.
