Outdoor camera intermittent connection

One of my three outdoor cameras looses its connection intermittently.  This happens mostly at night but also during daylight hours. It will connect and upload to the web for a short time and then loose connection for a short time and repeat this for hours.  The duration is a minute or two or shorter.  This particular camera has been in use at the same location for a couple years with no issues.  The ambient temperature this time of year is mild (50F to 90F) and it’s protected from direct sunlight and rain.  It connects to the same Wi-Fi access point as my two other cameras and is the only camera with the problem.

Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks!

Hello and thanks for checking,

My issue has resolved itself.  Our utility power was down for about 6 hours one night and my problem has not occurred since.  The camera reconnected when the power was restored but I suspect the long duration power outage led to a hardish reset.

Hey there,

I am terribly sorry to hear that you're having this issue! I would love to assist you with this issue. If you are having issues with your Nest Cam or Nest Doorbell, I would suggest that you first start by restarting it.

Restart: Keeps all your settings, and it should reconnect to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever becomes frozen, has trouble reconnecting to the internet, or isn't working normally.

Best regards,

Brad
