Outdoor camera power adapter went bad

The power went out at my house today. When it came back on, my two outdoor cameras did not return on. All my other cameras did. I tried the plug. It does have electricity going to it. I unplugged the USB from the power adapter. Once I did that, it was unable to put it back in. Almost like that power adapter piece broke. Exact same thing on both cameras. They are right about a year old, but were only installed about 8 months ago. The cameras are actually indoors, so it has nothing to do with the elements. The power cord just went bad. I can take a USB plug, and plug it straight in to the wall, and the camera powers up. So it is only the power adapter. How do I file the warranty and get the cord replaced?

Hi there,

I am sorry to hear that you have ran into this issue with your Outdoor Cam power adapter! I would love to submit a Replacement request for you, but I need some clarification first.

  • Which Nest Cam are we replacing the Power Adapter for? (Need specific Camera model)

Please let me know if you need further assistance!
