I have a Outdoor Nest Cam IQ. The installation was 14 months ago by google pros. The power cable has failed, and the only way I could fix it was to purchase a new camera. Cannot find replacement cable anywhere. Now I have an extra $360 camera I would like to use.

I have a nest cam IQ camera that does not work due to faulty power cable. I can find not replacement cable anywhere. I was forced to buy an entire new camera to replace the cable. I was told by the ONTech installer that when the cable went bad, one had to replace the entire camera (and thereby throw a $359 camera in the trash. I did not believe that could be true. But apparently it is. How do I obtain an new cable so I can install my new camera?

I would like to find a new cable so that I can install my new camera in another location at my house. So no, my original query has not been answered.

Thank you for writing.
I purchased a nest door bell and 2 nest cam IQ cameras for outdoor security. These were purchased and installed from Google recommended installers, On Tech on May 29, 2020. I noted one camera was not working a number of months ago, but did not call OnTech until this month. When the repairman arrived he said the camera was bad. I could either install a whole new camera or one on the newer model wireless versions. I was of the correct mindset that the camera was fine, and there was a problem in the power wire. To get a new power wire, I had to buy a whole new camera. I did so, thinking I would install the new camera once I obtained new wire. I found it shamefully wasteful to throw away a perfectly good expensive camera for lack of a wire. However, there is no replacement wire anywhere to be found. Thus, I have a brand new, in the box camera that cannot be used and spent nearly $400 getting to this point. I need a new plug and wire to install the new camera.
Any advice???
Thank you,
JD
