Outdoor nest camera software problem

When trying to setup a camera I get error C390.  The camera wont find my WIFI network.  I use EERO and there is a strong signal.  I've tried switching off 5ghz which you can do in the EERO app.  I've made sure to delete the camera from the NEST app.  I've reset the camera by disconnecting from the power for 15s.

Hi bcbjork,

Thanks for your post here in the community. I understand you're getting a C390 error message while setting up your Nest Cam Outdoor through the Nest app, specifically after switching off the 5GHz band in your EERO app. I appreciate all the efforts you've made to resolve this issue. No worries, help is here!

The C390 error indicates that your camera experienced a connection issue. To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

  • How far is the camera from the router?
  • Do you have other Nest devices in the house?
  • Can the camera find other Wi-Fi networks?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the camera?
  • What is the status LED light on your camera?

In the meantime, since you've already tried some troubleshooting, please ensure all recommended steps are completed. Refer to this article: Troubleshoot Nest camera setup messages.

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Melany
