Power outage neither indoor or outdoor comes back online

after power outages,  my cameras do not come back online.  I have 1 outdoor camera and 1 indoor camera. the only way that I am able to get them back online is to unplug and replug.  Google please help with an update to software or a better solution.

Two of our older Google Nest Outdoor Cameras have always been like this, and sometimes it happens to one of our doorbells. It's really a problem for customers who have cameras in a home that is far away.

Hi folks,
 

I’m sorry to hear about your experience. In some cases, after a power outage and your cameras didn’t come back online — restarting your cameras is needed by unplugging it from the power outlet, then plugging it back in.

For a google security/video product, this seems like a major flaw.

Our cameras are branded as part of the Smart Home devices. You can add security to them, but they are not branded as such. We appreciate your feedback, and request that you send it through the app, so it is sent to our engineers and app developers. Thank you for your patience.

They are security related, but they are not branded purely as security cameras. They are multipurpose cameras, that offer security if used. You are welcome to share your experience and feedback with our engineers and developers in the app.

Our cameras are not branded specifically for security use. That is all I am stating. They are multi-purpose cameras.
