Question On Nest Outdoor Battery Cam mounting

I received my new Nest Outdoor Battery Cam today and wanted to mount it using the 1?4 inch screw mount. When I tried this I got an "unmounted" error notice. When I placed it on the magnetic mount it worked. Do I have to use the magnetic mount? Is there any way to use the 1/4 screw mount?

there's a question regarding how it's mounted when you are setting up the camera, I do not know for sure, but I would assume if you select "other mount" or whatever the option is it will allow you... I noticed then when I pulled my camera off the mount it automatically stopped recording any events, my guess is that's what the unmounted error is about. hope that helps!
