Recharged my Google Nest Doorbell and now it will not lock onto the mount

It has been fine for months, but it simply will not lock into place now. What can I do?

In case you have the 2nd gen wired, you may watch our video clip about "How to Set Up and Install Your Google Nest Doorbell (Wired)" and skip it to 8:22 to see the proper way on how to mount it to its mounting plate.

It’s not a wired unit. It was a battery powered unit I’ve had for almost 1 year at the time the issue arose. There was a little round button on the back that locks it into the mount that no longer pops up.
