Regression of product?

As a Nest camera user around my house, when I went to buy a new (additional) camera last week I bought a Google Nest cam, of course. I knew I was paying a premium price, but I was buying peace of mind since my existing Nest setup is so nice.

Holy smokes am I disappointed. I have no web access to my new camera and I have to use two different apps on my phone to see the old and new devices. This is such a step backwards. 

I see that I might be the millionth person to leave this same feedback. If I had done any research before buying this new camera last week, I'm not sure I would have spent the money.

Fingers crossed that Google makes things right in the ecosystem sooner than later.

So unfortunate the way this has changed - nest fan for years until we purchased the other door google nest camera. What a mistake! I feel you pain and aggravation because we are so unhappy with these changes!

I'm a new Nest user -- four camers and doorbell -- and I'm appalled at the support on these forums.

There are few actual Google employees, few valuable responses, and what I see are mostly unanswered  questions, including the four novice questions I asked in the last few days.

And oh, my yes, I'm sure your software engineers are "working hard" to make my experience better." And I'm also sure, like the year old post from Rishi Chandra, the GM/VP of Google Nest, changes like added colorful holiday chimes takes precedence over any actual and meaningful changes to the software.

(Thank you volunteer Community Specialists for your committment! I'm sure you also don't get the support you need from Google employees.)
